Unlike most tomatoes sold in supermarkets, these are grown in soil - and have outstanding flavor. Many "Organic" tomatoes are now grown hydroponically, which in the rest of the world is not allowed by organic certification. Hydroponic tomatoes are a good deal easier to grow and cheaper - but lack vitality and nutrition that only comes from soil.
Each order comes packed in a small tray totaling approximately 1 pound. These tomatoes are delightfully sweet and flavorful.
