V Smiley's Strawberry Italian Plum Rosewater jam has a luscious texture and relies on the later season of Italian Prune Plums and European plums from Vermont and New York. As far as strawberry jams go this is a little more tart and a great choice for someone who prefers their strawberry jam a little less sweet. It has a light lingering flavor of rose added at the end of the cooking process.

Honey sweetened preserves made without the use of added pectin allows the texture and "temperament" of each fruit to shine through, yielding a range from soft to firm preserves. V Smiley Preserves are made in wide copper jam pans from hand cut fruit. One pot of jam produces 6-10 jars of preserves and some batches take up to 3 days to produce! Each finished jar of preserves contains about 1 lb. of fruit!
I'm not a big fan of jams, but this one has body and FLAVOR, not just sugar like so many jams. It's so good I put it over vanilla ice cream instead of hot fudge!
