I grew up on jewish deli cream cheese. When i moved to where there weren’t any conveniently located jewish deli i tried store bought, which sucked of course. I pretty much gave up on cream cheese for many years. 15 years ago i found a chevre capri which made local here in Mass, and it is a fantastic goat cheese that was spreadable like cream cheese, but sharper and tangier.
Just last week, was talking with the F2Y distribution people at my pickup site, one who makes his own cheese (yes really, cheddar and alpine type!), and got talking about cream cheese and the gum thickeners they add. They mentioned that there was an organic cream cheese at F2Y. So i had to try it as it doesn’t have any gum added and it is organic. And yes, it is not like jewish deli cream cheese, but i think it is better than jewish deli cream cheese.
So there you are, there’s no accounting for taste! I love it and highly recommend it, just remember it is it’s own thang.

I can appreciate that it is organic and doesn't have the thickeners that many commercial cream cheeses have, but cream cheeses I get in Jewish delis, not to mention Philly cream cheese, have a richer, thicker mouth feel. This one has more of a whipped mouth feel, while still not feeling has, well, umami in my mouth.

Taste-wise, it's not as bright tasting as other cream cheeses I have had. This is more like a farmer's cheese. It is what it is. You might really like this version of a cream cheese, but it's not identical in flavor or mouthfeel to more traditional cream cheese.

This will do in a pinch, but I wouldn't buy it again.

This does not taste like what our taste buds have grown accustomed to as cream cheese. It is more tangy, has more of a flavor of its own. I tried it on a couple of bagels but didn't like it enough to buy again.

Delicious. I will definitely reorder this. It is kind of "tangy" and has a little bit of a bite. Top notch cream cheese.

Spreadable right out of the fridge and the description is spot on with a little bit of tanginess. Also if you expect/want a replica for Philadelphiea Cream Cheese, I would recommend buying Philadelphia Cream Cheese. The difference between the two cream cheeses is comparable to the difference between store milk or yogurt and the milk or yogurt on here.

I liked but didn't love this cream cheese. My husband just wouldn't eat it, because it "doesn't taste like cream cheese." I would describe the flavor as less sweet than commercial cream cheese, and the texture as a little thicker/stickier than our usual brand. It is well worth trying, but maybe go into it not expecting the typical taste of cream cheese you grew up with. If "cream cheese" hadn't been on the label, I would've liked it fine as nameless spreadable cheese; my husband wouldn't have liked such a tangy cheese regardless, I think.

This is such great cream cheese. Goes nicely on Iggy's bagels.
