Organic Raisin Walnut Bread

1 lb loaf
$11.98

This Raisin Walnut bread is a combination of Red Hen's already amazing Crossett Hill dough, and transformed further with the addition of Walnuts and Raisins.

Ingredients
Heirloom Turkey flour, water, Vermont grown whole wheat flour, walnuts, raisins, whole rye flour, culture and salt. Certified Organic
Storage Tips

Store in a paper bag at room temperature and is best enjoyed within a couple of days. If unable to eat within a couple of days, slice and freeze to preserve flavor and texture. Pull out frozen slices, toast and enjoy!

Red Hen Baking Co., Middlesex, VT

Red Hen continues to amaze us with their baking magic.
How so few ingredients can taste so good is a testament to amazing skill and craft. The dough is allowed to naturally rise which creates a slow fermentation that helps to make the wheat more easily digestible.
Pairs well with strong cheeses on a cheese board, or just toasted with good butter.

This bread is delicious! I'm sensitive to gluten, but this bread does not irritate my gut. I highly recommend it.

Amazing bread, like everything Red Hen bakery makes. I used to drive all the way from Boston to Vermont just to buy this bread. Criossett Hill is my favorite bread, and with addition of walnuts and raisins it become almost like dessert. I eat is fresh or slightly roasted with just butter - delicious!
It also keeps very well, I keep a couple loafs in the freezer to not run out and just thaw as needed.
