Vermont Bean Crafters Black Bean Veggie Burgers
Sautéed onions, sunflower seeds, buckwheat, cumin, and rosemary pack these burgers with great taste and texture. Though organic black turtle beans are the main ingredient, freshly dug carrots and raw kale round out the flavor.

Vermont Bean Crafters was founded on the belief that what we eat has a direct and powerful effect on our communities and the environment. The majority (>95%) of Vermont Bean Crafters' organic black beans come from Peter Schiltz, a young second generation farmer in Lawrenceville, NY, and almost all of the remaining ingredients are sourced locally with 86% of the ingredients in these black bean burgers being sourced from within 350 miles.

Our family enjoyed these black bean burgers. They were thin so they didn't taste "stuffy" and they cooked up nicely. You definitely want to cook from frozen in a well-oiled pan as the directions say as the patties are soft, but the seared crust keeps them together. We enjoyed ours with avocado, mayo, and from FTY: cherry tomatoes, cheese, and mesclun mix.
