Farm to table has gotten a lot of attention in recent years—but what about the farm to school connection? Of the nearly 100,000 public K-12 schools in the United States, about two thirds feature local foods in their cafeterias.
As you read in Greg’s blog, nutrition bears greatly on students’ ability to learn well. Farm to school efforts are underway—and picking up speed—across the country, to the benefit of both students and farmers.
