Farmers To You is committed to healthy farms, healthy families, and a healthy planet. We are an online farm-to-table grocer focused on developing lasting partnerships and relationships between our members and the growers who produce the amazing food we sell. The majority of our sales are currently in the Boston area, with additional sites in Central VT, and the Champlain Valley. The FTY Team is passionate about working collaboratively to change the food system and build strong connections between the families and farmers who feed and support each other.

Position overview

The role of the Community Engagement Manager is to build and manage a team of volunteers and staff who will help to identify and engage with new members for Farmers To You. You will employ creative and low cost methods that promote, inform and connect us with our target customer - young families. You will be responsible for creating, executing and measuring tactics and campaigns with support from the rest of the team and company. Success will be measured by our overall growth of long term members.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build, manage and motivate a team of paid/volunteer community activists engaged in effective guerilla and hyper-local membership campaigns

Make FTY a household name in targeted communities and personas

Design experiments and measure for effectiveness

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Passionate about healthy, local whole foods

Excellent manager of teams

Proven success managing projects and campaigns

Committed to a healthy planet, healthy families, healthy farms

Strong writing skills; good story teller

Media and tech savvy

Interest in learning more about food, health, and farming
