Amy and Earl at Strafford Organic Creamery produce their milk with utmost care. They milk between 45 and 60 Guernsey Cows, grow most all their feed, bottle their milk in heavy glass, and deliver it to local stores in Vermont. They insist on keeping their operation small so they can assure the best quality through the use of sustainable practices such as rotational grazing. At this point in time, they are the only private bottlers of organic milk in Vermont.
Strafford Creamline Milk is not homogenized so the luscious Guernsey cream floats to the top. Children think it is a milk shake thanks to the natural sweetness of the cream. You can either stir it back into the milk or shake it back in. Donít hesitate to scoop it out for coffee, cereal or to put on top of fruit or berries. Enjoy the full flavor of lightly pasteurized milk freshly bottled.
For those who desire pasteurized milk, and may have digestive issues with cow's milk, non-homogenized milk can often be completely tolerated and enjoyed. This product is also handy for families who prefer to drink raw milk, but don't wish to use their raw milk in baked goods or other cooked dishes.
