We have been working to find a local producer who sources their organic soy beans locally and processes in small batches, so we are very proud to partner with Vermont Soy Company of Hardwick Vermont. This organic tofu is a critical protein for our Vegetarian and Vegan families. We are really excited to be able to offer tofu from producers we know well and respect.
Currently, Vermont Soy partners with Jack and Ann Lazor of Butterworks Farms in Westfield, VT, and Chad, Phil, Denis, and Greg Bouchard, of Bouchard Family Farms, in Franklin, VT. Butterworks Farms is one of Vermont's original organic farms, and the Bouchards have recently diversified their farm to focus on Organic Soybean production -- growing, cleaning, storing, and selling.

If you do not use this within the week you receive your order - put it in the freezer. Some of our families relate that it further improves the texture too.
