Bill and Andrea at Champlain Orchards grow many fruits and vegetables, and produce apple products. They are committed to ecological practices and are Eco-Apple certified. Due to challenges of our Northeast climate, they are minimally sprayed to manage pests in an integrated practice with natural methods called Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Empires can be cooked but they are best eaten raw in a school lunch, paired with your favorite cheese, or shaved in a salad.
Fresh apples are best stored in their plastic bag in the refrigerator.
