Vermont Salumi makes these cured hams from pork sourced from Vermont farms that raise thier pigs on a vegetarian diet, without any antibiotics.
Each ham is brined, seasoned, then smoked and quartered, leaving two flat faces for ease of slicing.
This quartered ham makes approximately: 4 sandwiches, breakfast for 3 people and dinner for 3 people.
Enjoy thinly sliced on a ham sandwich, in macaroni and cheese, in quiche, in omeletes or pan fried as you would Canadian Bacon.
Some tips for slicing:
- Place already cut side of ham face down on the cutting board
- Use a sharp knife
- Hold ham in place with a fork as you slice thin pieces from the side
Keep refrigerated or freeze for long term storage.
This ham has a 60 day shelf life before opening. Once original package is open, it is best used within 2 weeks. Wrap in plastic wrap and a sealed bag and keep refrigerated between slicing.
