This Week’s Bounty: Pristine Apples, Picolino Cucumbers, Jalapenos, Red Russian Kale, White Onion Bunches and Green Bell Peppers

It’s the beginning of Sweet Corn season, and in honor of that, we’re featuring some ingredients that combine quite nicely into a simple summertime lunch or supper. The following are 10% off:

Saute an onion and a couple cloves of garlic. Shave fresh corn off the cob (3 ears) and add to the onion and garlic mixture and cook for 1 minute. Add 1 cup of cream and simmer for a few minutes until slightly reduced. Break salmon into pieces, removing any bones, and add to the cream mixture. Add more cream as needed for a nice sauce consistency.

Cook pasta until al dente and serve with the cream sauce topped with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!

Fresh Raspberries are back from Adam’s Berry Farm

In addition to beautiful Peaches and Nectarines, Champlain Orchards has started to harvest the first apple of this season, a variety called Pristine.  A green skinned apple with tart and crisp flesh.
