We are excited to introduce VT 99 Meats: a collaboration between the Cellars at Jasper Hill, producers of some of the finest cheese, and Pete’s Greens, one of our major veggie suppliers. They are making sausage, salami and bacon from heritage breed pigs that are raised on pasture and a diet supplemented with whey, veggies and cheese scraps. This endeavor utilizes what would be compost, and turns it into delicious pork! They have some unique flavor combinations and we’ve added a couple to our offerings – let us know what you think!

  • Cheese Sausage: a fresh pork sausage with chunks of Alpha Tolman, their meltable Alpine-style cheese. This is a savory, finely balanced sausage that’s outstanding on the grill.
  • Kimchi Sausage: a fresh pork sausage made with Pete’s Greens’ organic Kimchi, a spicy, korean-style fermented cabbage, adding to the overall depth of flavor, and contributing flavors of chili without the heat.

We’re featuring a couple of delicious accompaniments for cheese, sausages, or as a side of their own, at 10% off:

Sauerkraut, Ginger Carrots and Kimchifrom Blackwell Roots. Add some crunch and tang to a sausage or a salad

Baguettes: Seeded and Plainfrom Red Hen Baking pair perfectly with any cheese, or split and use as a bun for your sausage

Fresh from our Farmers and Producers

This week’s delights from the ocean include frozen and smoked Salmon from Starbird Fish as well fresh caught Yellow Fin Tuna, Red Fish and White Fish from Red’s Best Seafood

Peaches and Nectarines have arrived!  These sweet and juicy fruits from Champlain Orchards are ripe for your enjoyment. Thanks to a spring without any late frosts, these trees were able to produce a strong crop of stone fruits this season. Enjoy!

Don’t forget to check out our Weekly Menus.  These are pre-picked orders suited to different dietary preferences: Omnivore, Paleo, Vegetarian and Dairy Free, each accompanied with meal ideas.
