This Week’s Harvest: Holiday Meat Cuts, Gifts of Food, Egg Nog, Raw Milk Cheese REMINDER: This is the last order before Christmas. There will be no deliveries during the week of Christmas. Order now for your holiday week. 

This week we have many special cuts of meat for your Christmas table. These are all very fresh and will easily last the week until  Christmas in your fridge.

LambButterfly Leg of Lamb, Chops, Shanks, Stew Meat, Ground Lamb – directly from the fields of Corinth Vermont where Ben and Grace graze their flock.

Beef – This week our butchers cut Woodbourne Farm’s amazing Red Devon Grass-Fed Beef into beautiful Roasts. Check out all the different cuts, but don’t wait because there are only a few of each and they will go quickly.

TurkeyMisty Knoll Holiday Turkey is available again. They are offering 14 – 17 pound fresh birds. While this is a bigger size variance, just email to us if you wish it on the larger or smaller size and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Cheese – Two new farmstead cheeses from Bonnieview Farms that are very reasonably priced and delicious. Bonnie Blue, and Ayersdale. These are the first of his raw cow milk cheese.

Tea – Jen at Love and Tea has an expanded selection of teas for the holiday.

Bakery – Red Hen has their amazing Pumpkin Pies and Panettone Bread. Wonderful to dress up the holiday table… and of course delicious too.

Dairy – Strafford Organic Dairy has Egg Nog for the last week this season. This is the real thing so don’t miss it. Nothing but milk, eggs, nutmeg and sugar… all organic and pure. Add a nip of bourbon and you are in holiday bliss!

We have also added a new winter flavor of Strafford’s ice cream – Wintermint.

Vegetables – David Miskell is harvesting the last of his lettuce and greens from his greenhouses, and in addition to the Romaine and Red Leaf this week, he has a wonderful Organic Baby Kale Mix. The mix includes Red Russian, Green, and Lacinato Kale.
